Our Community
At AML Support Services, we believe in the power of an empathetic and inclusive community and the deep impact it can have on the lives of NDIS participants. Our support workers, coordinators and volunteers go way beyond individual support. We strive to make a lasting and meaningful impact in the lives of participants and how they interact with their community.
Through group activities, inclusive events, volunteering projects, collaborative efforts, and cultural showcases, we aim to fortify our bonds within the local community. We ensure our participants receive the best possible care, are able to make independent choices, and partner with the right support networks. This is achieved by working closely with the participants, their families, carers, and the concerned sector.
How We Operate?
Our in-house support team engage with the local community in various ways. This is how we operate:

Listen and understand the issues of participants

Share problems and collaborate to come up with innovative solutions

Achieve the desired outcome

How Does Our Collaboration Work?
Here are some ways we work collaboratively in the community:
- Address a problem, explore it further, and define it – all the while trying to solve
- Ask questions like – “Are we on the same page?”, “Do all of us understand the common problems the participants are facing under the Scheme?” and so on.
- Prioritise our work and decide on what will make the most impact.
- Test and validate the ideas that have come from co-working to ensure the solutions work for everyone and collaboratively help us grow
- Implement the solutions that we have worked on
We at AML Support Services fully acknowledge that genuine change is required to ensure the NDIS works for all people with complex needs. That’s why we are committed to making the NDIS bigger and better!
